Unix timestamp converter
A Unix timestamp counts seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC. JavaScript and many APIs use milliseconds instead (13 digits today), while databases and logs sometimes use microseconds or nanoseconds. The converter guesses the unit from the size of the number, and you can choose it yourself.
Local time uses your device's time zone, shown next to the date field. ISO 8601 output is always in UTC with a Z suffix.

10 digits are seconds and 13 digits are milliseconds for dates around today.
What about the year 2038 problem?
Signed 32-bit seconds overflow on 19 January 2038; this tool uses 64-bit numbers and handles later dates.
