JSON formatter and validator
The formatter uses the browser's own JSON parser, so it follows the JSON standard exactly: keys and strings need double quotes, and trailing commas and comments are not allowed. When the JSON is invalid, the error message shows the line and column and the cursor jumps there.
Because API responses and configuration files often contain tokens or personal data, nothing you paste is sent anywhere.

Why does my JSON with comments fail?
Standard JSON does not allow comments or trailing commas. Remove them, or use JSON5-aware tools.
What does sort keys do?
It orders object keys alphabetically at every level, which makes two JSON files easier to compare.
