Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday: How to Choose Gifts for Cat Lovers
For cat-lover gifts such as mugs, ornaments, stockings and sweatshirts, the day you order matters less than what you order and when it can arrive. Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27 and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Many gifts like these are made to order, so production time comes before shipping. Order personalized items and anything you need by a fixed date first, and don’t assume one day will be cheaper than the other.
Key points
- Black Friday: Friday, November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday: Monday, November 30. Christmas Day: Friday, December 25 (OPM).
- Order personalized, sized and date-critical gifts first.
- Compare item, total cost, size, material, shipping and returns.
- Two of the products in this guide are our own designs; the rest are labeled affiliate links.
- Don’t assume one day is cheaper than the other.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 dates
| Day | 2026 date | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Thanksgiving Day | Thursday, November 26 | Federal holiday (OPM) |
| Black Friday | Friday, November 27 | Day after Thanksgiving; not a federal holiday |
| Cyber Monday | Monday, November 30 | The Monday after Thanksgiving, known for online shopping |
| Christmas Day | Friday, December 25 | Federal holiday (OPM) |
Black Friday began as an in-store shopping day; Cyber Monday is the online-focused Monday that follows. Today many stores run promotions across the whole weekend, online and in store. For the history and the difference between the two, and for day-by-day planning:

What to buy first
Sort your gift list by these three questions, in this order:
- Is it a real need? Buy gifts for people actually on your list. A promotion is not a reason to add a fifth mug.
- Does it need personalization or a choice of size? Names, photos and apparel sizes take extra time to get right, and Zazzle’s Standard Returns don’t cover typos or a wrong size. Do these when you have time to check the preview, not in a rush at midnight.
- When must it arrive? If it has to be under the tree on December 25, or mailed on to someone else, check the delivery estimate first. Zazzle says delivery dates appear under the “Shipping options” link on each product page and at checkout, and production time is separate from shipping time.
Don’t assume discounts. Prices and promotions change and can appear before, during or after the Thanksgiving weekend. If a gift is ready to order and the timing matters, the safer choice is to order when you’re sure of the details. Check the product page for the current price; prices can change.
How to compare gifts
Use the same six rows for every gift you are considering. It makes “this or that?” decisions quicker.
| Compare | What to look at |
|---|---|
| Item | Exact product name and creator. Similar designs exist from different creators. |
| Total cost | Price for the options you picked, plus shipping and tax in the cart, not the headline price. |
| Size | Mug ounces, apparel size chart, ornament diameter, puzzle finished size |
| Material | Ceramic vs. other ornament materials; stocking and pillow fabrics |
| Shipping | Estimated arrival for the recipient’s address; shipping speed options and cost |
| Returns | What Standard Returns cover (on Zazzle: printing errors, damage, wrong items) and whether you want the optional Worry-Free Returns add-on |
The FTC’s online shopping advice points the same way: learn the total cost, including shipping, handling, delivery and taxes; read the product description and the seller’s return policy; and keep records of your order.
Gift ideas for cat lovers
These are the products from our three gift guides, grouped by type. Each card links to its product page on Zazzle, and each group links to the guide that covers it in more detail. We don’t list prices: check the product page for the current price; prices can change.
How these picks work: two products below, the Cozy Café Morning Coffee Mug and the Winter Night Snowy Town Sweatshirt, are our own designs from the BenCat_Wang store on Zazzle, labeled “Our own design.” The others were made by other Zazzle creators and are labeled “Design by …”. Links to those are Zazzle affiliate links: if you buy through one, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same. Zazzle handles payment, shipping and customer service.
Mugs
Cozy Café Morning Coffee Mug
For a daily coffee ritual: Ben, our tuxedo cat character, and his Persian cat “boss” at a café, with no holiday elements, so it works all year. Zazzle offers it in several mug styles, from the classic white mug to a travel mug.
This is our own product, so buying it supports this site. Zazzle sets the price and shipping.
Black and White Tuxedo Cat Photo Coffee Mug
For a desk at the office: a real photograph of a tuxedo cat rather than a drawing. It suits someone who owns a tuxedo cat.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Cute Tuxedo Cat Drawing Mug
For a gift exchange: a playful black-and-white cat drawing. The default is a Combo Mug with a colored rim and handle, in colors such as red and hunter green.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Ornaments and stockings
Tuxedo Cat Christmas Ceramic Ornament
A tuxedo cat in a Santa hat, for the owner of a black-and-white cat. The default is a white porcelain circle about 2.87" across, printed on both sides; the gold thread ships untied.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Brown Tabby Maine Coon in Cat Bed Ceramic Ornament
A brown tabby Maine Coon curled in a basket, with no Christmas symbols, so it can stay up after the holidays. For someone with a long-haired or brown tabby cat.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Black and White Cat Christmas Pet Stocking
A stocking for the cat itself. The creator’s description says it is simple to personalize with the pet’s name and photo. Sizes are small (9" x 16") or large. Order it early so you have time to check the name in the preview.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Winter apparel
Winter Night Snowy Town Sweatshirt
Ben the tuxedo cat in a red scarf over a snowy, lamp-lit town: a winter picture rather than a Christmas one, so it can be worn well past December. The default is a men’s basic sweatshirt (Small to 3XL); check the size chart before ordering.
This is our own product, so buying it supports this site. Zazzle sets the price and shipping.
Family gifts
Custom Santa Hat Matching Family Christmas Pajama T-Shirt
The creator says these Santa hat tees are customizable with your family’s names. The design is Santa hats and names, not cats, so it is a group gift for a Christmas morning photo. Allow time to check every name and size.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Most Likely to Bring Home a Stray Cat Christmas Sweatshirt
A “Most likely to…” text joke for the friend who always ends up feeding the neighborhood cats. Clearly a Christmas piece, best for holiday parties and gift exchanges.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Home
Rustic Winter Snowy Cabin Jigsaw Puzzle
A log cabin with lit windows in deep snow. At 252 pieces it suits someone who prefers a smaller puzzle, or a family doing one together.

Snowy Winter Cabin String Lights Jigsaw Puzzle
A small snowy cottage behind a weathered fence with string lights, in soft grays and whites. At 520 pieces and 16" x 20", it is for someone who likes a longer puzzle.
Affiliate link: if you buy through it, Zazzle may pay us a commission. The price you pay stays the same.
Winter Fantasy Snowy Village Throw Pillow
A storybook scene of tiny lit cabins against a violet night sky. It suits a colorful sofa or a kid’s room more than a strictly neutral one. The default is 16" x 16" with the insert included.
