Will the QR code expire?
No. The content is inside the code, so it works as long as the website or details inside it are valid.
Which error correction should I choose?
M is a good default. Choose Q or H for printed codes that may get scratched or dirty; the code becomes denser.

Why won't my code scan?
Use a dark code on a light background, keep the quiet zone at 4 and print it at least 2 × 2 cm.
